Smarter Energy Use on Australian Dairy Farms (SEUADF)
What is it?
The Smarter Energy Use on Australian Dairy Farms project allows 295 regional farmers to access:
- free energy assessments of their dairy; and
- a range of resources to assist in reducing electricity usage over time.
Farms wishing to have a free energy assessment conducted must register with WestVic Dairy. Please click here to register via email or contact us via phone (03) 5557 1000.
Please note: registrations are filling fast. To ensure your place, please be quick to register. Once you have registered, you will be sent out an 'induction pack'. This pack contains important information and forms about your farms energy assessment. Please complete these forms and return them to the office as soon as possible. Farms are allocated assessments based on a first in, first served basis. The sooner you send in the forms and the last 12 months of electricity bills the sooner you will get an assessment. An assessor will call you in the lead up to your assessment to review the information you supplied and to organise a time and date which suits you for the assessment.
Why are we running this project?
To assist farmers with becoming more energy efficient and provide them with assistance in working out what actions or infrastructure changes will deliver the best value in reducing energy use.
When will the project be operating until?
How is the project being funded?
This project is a national program developed by Dairy Australia and funded by the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism as part of the Energy Efficiency Information Grants Program.
