WestVic Dairy with the support of the Glenelg Hopkins CMA will be running a Fert$mart course for farmers in Koroit on 5th June. Positions are limited to 12 farming businesses, with more than one person from each business encouraged to attend. Participants of the course will be able to receive a $50 subsidy per soil test for up to 5 tests and have a farm fertiliser plan prepared by an accredited consultant.

Topics to be covered include:
- Understanding soils and interpreting soil test results
-  Developing a soil fertiliser plan for your farm
-  Determining fertiliser requirement and optimum rates
-  Optimise your fertiliser spend to achieve “The Best Bang for Buck”

The course will begin with a workshop followed by an on-farm visit to work on your Fert$mart plan and
then a second workshop to conclude the course.
